This December I decided to take part in Think Kit 2012, an initiative launched by Indy marketing firm SmallBox. Sign up and every day you get a new topic in your inbox with the challenge of completing every post. Since this blog is still a new kid in the blogosphere, I thought it would be a fantastic way to stretch the creative muscle and get serious about producing some awesome blog posts!
Today's topic? A picture that defined my 2012. Finding a picture that can describe an entire year is difficult, but in going through my photos I stumbled upon this half-painted canvas from an art project I started:
A lot happened this year. I decided to take the freelancer-entrepreneur approach full-time, I met a lot of new people that have added to my life socially and professionally, and I had a few professional successes (paired with a few failures). While things are far from where they need to be or where I want them to be, I've started making strides in the right direction. In essence, my year was this canvas: There are some brushstrokes making some colorful splashes onto the canvas, but the big picture still hasn't come together yet.
What defines your year?
